lilyma: Would you like to introduce yourself?

 

       My name is Laura Livingstone and I am from Ireland. I am currently working as the Head of Development for a Los Angeles based film production company, CinePartners Entertainment.

 

lilyma: where are you working now?

I am about to go to Budapest in Hungary for our next film.

  

lilyma: What feeling do you have about your job?

 

I like the company I am working for, because we are involved in films in the US and in Europe, and we should be shooting in China in the near future.

 

lilyma:  What movies have you made?

I have just started working for this company.

 

lilyma:"What kind of movies do you like? "

 

       I like everything from European cinema to romantic comedies. I am not to fond of horror films.

 

lilyma: "What is the style of your company’s movies? What are they like? "

 

       The films our company has been doing to date are varied from historic epics to thrillers, science fiction and horror films to dramas.  

 

lilyma: "Do you ever been to China? Would you like to make movies in China? "

 

       I have never been to China and I would love to visit. I think we are going to be shooting a film in China soon, so hopefully I will visit in the near future.

 

lilyma:"How about young people in US?  They like America movies or European movies"

 

       To be honest I have only been living in the US for the past few months. （红的不要了）

 

lilyma:"What is you view of US culture and Europe culture? "

 

       To me it seems like they are both similar and follow the latest trends. But I think Europe has a lot more to offer in terms of culture and diversity.

 

lilyma: "How to manage film budgets , recovered costs, and sales. "

 

It usually means trying to be as creative as the story you are trying to fund!

 

 

lilyma:"Is there any restriction and preference of themes for movies? "

 

       I think there is a pretty healthy market for all types of themes and genres.

lilyma:"May we know your future plan? "

 

       I hope to continue working with CinePartners and make some successful and profitable films. But most of all, to enjoy it all.

 

lilyma:Now what are you like in your life??

 

       Enjoy what I have and while I can.

 

lilyma:Do you travel lot? If your families miss you, what will you do?

      

I travel a lot and I do miss all my friends when I am away. But the best things is that I am traveling at a time when communicating and staying in touch with people around the world is pretty easy. My mobile works in most countries, I can email no matter where I am, I keep in touch with my family inexpensively with skype and then there is www.myspace.com, www.bebo.com and www.facebook.com, where I can find most of my friends!

      So I have no excuse for not staying in touch, although I still miss people.

 

lilyma: How do you feel about Cannes film festival?

 

I enjoy the festival. Each year I have many good and productive meetings, but I also get the chance to meet great people in my field of work from around the globe, that hopefully some day I’ll have the chance to work with.
